Summer has felt long. I have been working at the Spur Innovation Center, the old Boehmer Box Factory. Alternatives Journal has their lovely offices there. (I was volunteering there before I went to India.) They hired me to activate and animate their Greenbelt celebration. Which we did! It was a real team effort.
AJ is cool. Not only are they the Voices of the Canadian Environment, but they started Night/Shift and the Porch Parties. Over the months, we have seen how we could create a Love My Hood project out of some of the experiences we have had here.
I am enjoying pouring into a team atmosphere, but I am not doing my artwork. Tonight we met at the park to catch up with the Strange Lore Quest meetups. This picture caught my eye. The child was so engrossed in the moment.
I thought it would make a painting, to bring in the scene this winter when I am trapped in my studio. A reminder to stay observing, stay present.
